Earlier this year I downloaded a Stones Throw podcast of The Gas Lamp Killer djing live at Hellar International, I wish I could’ve been there, its like 40 minutes of perfectly unbridled djing. Aside from his amazing energy, hair, actual technical ability, what makes his sets so special is his total disregard for matching genres & bpm.
Anyway, I went to see him dj on Saturday. The promoters Deadly Rhythm were great and always seem to put on decent lineups, but the venue was shit, the sound system overloaded, and it was in Shoreditch. Nevertheless, he was very very good.
