Roof Light is amazing… it’s really understated dubstep that jumps around from melancholy to ecstatic. His new EP on MJ Cole’s Prolific label is a total mixed bag, including what sounds like a fuzzy Yo La Tengo instrumental at the end - definitely a good thing.

A lot of people are talking about SALEM being the future of music, which is an unfortunate turn of phrase.
It’s not that they don’t deserve such praise, it’s more that songs like “ASIA” sound a lot like the world collapsing in on itself in a huge celestial implosion, probably while Bruce Willis swings with futile gesture from the falling stars.
If SALEM are the sound of the future, then we’re all horribly fucked. The rest is noise.

Does it matter if Disclosure are two teenage brothers? They could be 40 year old casualties and it wouldn’t change a thing.
“Linstigator”, like the other few songs they’ve so far shown to the world, is a sophisticated late night drive anthem, built for the hazy gloom of late Saturdays bleeding into early Sundays.
No matter what your age, seems the whole world’s on drugs.
