There’s something about European festivals that brings out the worst in American musicians, maybe it’s the heat or the weird Spanish pills. Either way, we got a press release from the Sonar Festival’s people the other day, saying everything Crystal Castles did onstage was their own damn fault. Apparently there had been technical difficulties, but it was the band’s fault blah blah blah.
This was the first we’d heard of it (we’re still recovering from the acne and denim party that was Download) but almost immediately after we got this our pal Amy Leverton (who filmed Wavves‘ recent outburst) came back at us with some footage of the second whammy of the summer. It’s fun when rock stars throw all their toys out of the pram.
