South London stand up! Lambeth Boys was shot over six weeks in the summer of 1958 in and around the Alford House, a youth club near the Oval in South London. It follows a group of teenagers at work, at home and out and about with their buddies, giving them space to express their frustrations and aspirations. None of them are Teds, they’re just normal kids. Americans think we still have those amazing accents, we don’t, more’s the pity.
