Nike SB just done did some Cheech and Chong dunks in time for 4/20! In the UK we don’t celebrate this semi holiday because of the way we write the date (surely it’s just more logical to write the day before the month?) and because we ruin marijuana by mixing it with tobacco and making it too weirdly strong for our youth to handle (holla at all my skunk-psychosis bros! Oh no, a crow flew past the window! That’s a bad omen!). Dunks are pretty fugly shoes but it’s fun to see how they Cheech-and-Chonged them up. Remember how pissed off skateboarders were when SB launched in 2002? They thought it was shitty that a big corporation was getting involved in their sport. Ian Mackaye even sued them for their Minor Threat parody poster:

I suppose Cheech and Chong is the opposite to Minor Threat in terms of lifestyle choices. have you ever tried to watch a C&C movie though? Those things are even more boring when you are stoned. If you edit them down for Youtube the best bits are pretty great. They would have made good Adult Swim shorts, but whole movies of it? Unbearable. The 70s were a simpler time.
